Pewaukee Job Fair Nov. 9: Up to 35 Employers Plus a Veteran Resource Fair at the Ingleside Hotel

PEWAUKEE, WI — Up to 35 Waukesha County employers will be recruiting under one roof on Monday, November 9, when the WOW Workforce Development system brings its Job Fair & Resource Fair to the Ingleside Hotel on Golf Road. The same ballroom doubles as the Succeeding After Service Veteran Community Resource & Job Fair, so veterans and military families get a full table of benefits help alongside the employers. 💼 Who Will Be There

The organizers say up to 35 area employers are signed on, but the employer list has not been published. That means nobody can promise you a specific company or a specific opening yet, and we won't either. What we can say is that the Waukesha job center's fall calendar has leaned hard on warehouse, packing, retail and manufacturing work, and Waukesha County's big private employers sit in exactly those lanes plus health care.

Treat it like a room full of hiring tables you get to size up in person. Show up with a short list of the kinds of work you want and ask each table what they are filling right now.

The organizer's event pages are on the WOW Workforce Development job fair listing and the veteran resource fair listing. Check them the week of the event in case employers get named.

🎖️ For Veterans and Military Families

The veteran side of the room is about more than job leads. The flyer lists:

  • Veteran benefits and resource partners
  • Vocational rehabilitation
  • Training, education and apprenticeship opportunities
  • W-2 and FoodShare program help
  • Literacy services and re-entry workforce services
  • A Mobile Vet Center with counselors and outreach staff, free confidential counseling for combat veterans and their families, and help enrolling in VA benefits and handling the paperwork

If you have been putting off a VA enrollment or a benefits question, this is a rare chance to handle it and talk to employers in the same trip.

Not a Veteran? Come Anyway

The veteran billing scares some people off, and it shouldn't. Both listings say the event is open to the public, and the general job fair side carries no eligibility rules at all. Career changers and people returning after a gap are exactly the audience here.

Two days earlier, Prolec GE is holding its own onsite job fair in Waukesha for transformer plant assemblers and technicians. Different event, different employer, different requirements: see our Prolec GE job fair guide.

📋 How to Show Up Ready

  • Print 10 or more resumes. Up to 35 tables go fast.
  • Bring your DD-214 or VA paperwork if you plan to visit the benefits tables.
  • Have your availability ready. Shifts, start date, whether you can drive to Waukesha, Brookfield or Menomonee Falls.
  • Go early. The first hour after 11 a.m. is when recruiters are freshest.
