Milwaukee Job Center Hiring Events Oct. 28 to Nov. 17: Welders, Bakery Jobs and a Multi-Employer Fair
MILWAUKEE, WI — October's employer spotlights at Milwaukee's two job centers are nearly done, and the next set is already posted. Three Milwaukee job center hiring events were scheduled between October 28 and November 17: a power equipment manufacturer and a commercial bakery on the south side, then a ten-employer job fair on North 27th Street. The first has passed. The two still ahead are free, neither requires registration, and each lasts exactly two hours.
Three events between October 28 and November 17; one has already taken place. Next up: Legacy Bakehouse on November 4 at the Milwaukee Southeast Job Center on Chase Avenue, then a multi-employer job fair on November 17 at the Milwaukee County Job Center.

Global Power Components — Wednesday, October 28
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Milwaukee Southeast Job Center, 2701 S. Chase Ave., Suite C
This event has passed.
The longest job list of the three. Global Power Components' state flyer named welders, electrical assemblers, maintenance and field service technicians, quality and safety technicians, machine operators, painters, finishers, builders, material handlers, warehouse and inventory associates, janitors, general labor and production supervisors, plus an academy trainee track in electrical and welding. Candidates had to be 18 or older, eligible to work in the U.S., bring ID and a resume, and sit for a basic assessment plus a mechanical aptitude test. Shifts listed were 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with overtime offered. No wage and no worksite address were published.
Same day, different event: the free Milwaukee Job Fair in Brookfield also ran October 28, with different employers and its own hours.
Legacy Bakehouse — Wednesday, November 4
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Milwaukee Southeast Job Center, 2701 S. Chase Ave., Suite C
A week later the same room turns over to food manufacturing. Legacy Bakehouse is hiring for its Waukesha and Cudahy locations across first, second and third shifts: warehouse associates and a warehouse lead, machine operators, sanitation, maintenance and electromechanical technicians, quality technicians, general laborers and an operations manager. The one hard requirement on the flyer is for the warehouse associate job, which needs forklift experience or certification. Bring a resume or be ready to fill out a paper application. Cudahy is a short drive south of the Chase Avenue center; Waukesha is a commitment out I-94, so pick your site before you say yes. You can also apply ahead through the Legacy Bakehouse website.
Multi-Employer Job Fair — Tuesday, November 17
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Milwaukee County Job Center, 4201 N. 27th St., sixth-floor DWD conference room
The biggest room of the month. The state's workforce listing names ten employers: Athea Laboratories (packaging), Grede, Tradesmen International, Anodyne, Sysco, KAD Staffing, Maglio Companies, Ebenezer Child Care, Fayette Industrial and Goodwill TalentBridge. The roles cover a lot of ground, from CDL drivers, warehouse and retail to carpenters, electricians, welders, painters, CNC and machine operators, maintenance, produce production, janitorial work and assistant and lead teachers in child care. Several of these names are staffing firms rather than direct employers, which suits some people and not others. The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development asks job seekers to check employer websites first, bring resumes and come ready to talk about their experience. Rosters can shift before the day, so confirm on the American Job Center events calendar.
⚠️ Read This Before You Go
- Two-hour windows, hard stops. Each event ends at noon, so arrive close to 10.
- No pay rates were published for any of the three. We are not going to guess. Ask the recruiter directly.
- Check the worksite, not the venue. The events are in Milwaukee; the jobs may not be. Legacy's are in Waukesha and Cudahy.
