MILWAUKEE, WI — The fall hiring calendar in Milwaukee runs through places people already go: public library branches on the northwest and south sides, MATC classrooms on State Street and in Oak Creek, and the job center offices on North 27th Street. From late September into early December, anyone looking for work can meet employers in person, most of the time for free, and in some cases fill out an application right there.

Ten Milwaukee job fairs and hiring events between September 22 and December 2, each one checked against the organizer's own calendar, including City of Milwaukee career fairs at four library branches and three MATC fairs that are open to the community.

Employ Milwaukee Business Service Job Fair — Tuesday, September 22

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | DWD Conference Room, 6th Floor, 4201 N. 27th St., Milwaukee

This is the first of three Business Service Job Fairs on the Employ Milwaukee calendar. Employ Milwaukee is the county's public workforce board. The building is on the northwest side, just north of Capitol Drive, and the fair is on the sixth floor. Employ Milwaukee hasn't said which employers are coming or who is eligible, so don't assume anything about the roles. Call (414) 270-1700 before you go to confirm the employer list and whether you need to register. Bring several copies of your resume anyway. A two-hour morning fair can end early once the tables get busy.

MATC Manufacturing, Construction & Transportation Career & Internship Fair — Wednesday, September 30

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | MATC Oak Creek Campus, Upper & Lower Atriums, 6665 S. Howell Ave., Oak Creek

This is the fall fair for the manufacturing, construction and transportation side of Milwaukee Area Technical College, so expect employers looking for skilled trades and production workers, plus drivers and technicians. The school built it for its students, but its CareerHub events page says community members are welcome too. That's worth the drive down Howell Avenue if you have shop-floor, welding, maintenance or CDL experience. Some tables will be recruiting interns, so ask up front about full-time openings. MATC recommends bringing copies of a well-written resume and wearing business casual or business professional clothes.

MATC Community, Human Services & Healthcare Career & Internship Fair — Tuesday, October 6

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | MATC Downtown Campus, Room M605, 700 W. State St., Milwaukee

This downtown fair covers two of MATC's program areas: community and human services, and healthcare. That's where to look for patient care, medical support, social services and case management roles, in a city whose big hospital systems and nonprofits are always hiring. MATC welcomes community members here as well. If you hold a CNA, a medical assistant credential or a human services background, bring proof of it along with your resume. The campus sits a few blocks west of the Deer District, so plan for downtown parking.

MATC Business; Creative Arts, Design & Media; & STEM Career & Internship Fair — Wednesday, October 7

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | MATC Downtown Campus, Room M605, 700 W. State St., Milwaukee

This fair is in the same room as the healthcare fair, one day later, but it's for different careers. It covers business, creative arts, design and media, and STEM. Office, accounting, IT support, marketing and design candidates should pick this one. Community members are welcome. Employ Milwaukee Business Service Job Fair — Thursday, October 15

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | 2701 S. Chase Ave., Suite C, Milwaukee

The second Business Service Job Fair moves to the south side. Like the September fair, the listing doesn't name any employers or eligibility rules, so call Employ Milwaukee at (414) 270-1700 before you go. It ends at noon, which leaves time to get across town for the City of Milwaukee fair at Villard Square the same afternoon. Two events, two ends of town, run by two different organizers.

City of Milwaukee & MPL Career Fair at Villard Square — Thursday, October 15

3:00 – 5:00 p.m. | Villard Square Branch Library, 5190 N. 35th St., Milwaukee

This is the first fall stop on the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee Public Library career fair tour. It's free and open to the public. Recruiters from City departments, including Employee Relations, Neighborhood Services and the Milwaukee Health Department, will be at the tables alongside City partner organizations. City of Milwaukee & MPL Career Fair at Good Hope — Tuesday, November 3

12:00 – 2:00 p.m. | Good Hope Branch Library, 7715 W. Good Hope Rd., Milwaukee

The tour stops on the far northwest side at a midday hour, which suits anyone who works evenings or has school pickup later in the afternoon. The format is the same as every other stop: City departments and partners, applications on the spot, free, with sign-in at the door. It's also Election Day, so plan your day around the polls.

Employ Milwaukee Business Service Job Fair — Tuesday, November 17

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | DWD Conference Room, 6th Floor, 4201 N. 27th St., Milwaukee

The third Business Service Job Fair is back at the North 27th Street building. It lands right as seasonal hiring peaks before the holidays. As with the first two, no employers have been posted yet, so call (414) 270-1700 that week to confirm the roster.

City of Milwaukee & MPL Career Fair at Tippecanoe — Thursday, November 19

3:00 – 5:00 p.m. | Tippecanoe Branch Library, 3912 S. Howell Ave., Milwaukee

This is the south side stop, on the same Howell Avenue that leads to MATC's Oak Creek campus. It's the easiest City fair to reach for anyone living in Bay View, Tippecanoe or near the airport. It's free, open to the public, and you can apply on-site.

City of Milwaukee & MPL Career Fair at Central Library — Wednesday, December 2

12:00 – 2:00 p.m. | Milwaukee Public Library Central, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee

The last City fair of 2026 is at the Central Library on Wisconsin Avenue downtown, easy to reach by bus from most of the city. Same setup as the others: City departments and partners, on-site applications, free admission. The tour picks back up at the Zablocki branch in January.

The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee Public Library career fairs are free and open to the public. MATC and Employ Milwaukee haven't posted admission prices for their fairs, so ask when you call ahead.

Yes. MATC's CareerHub says community members are welcome at all three fall fairs. Students are the main audience and some employers will be recruiting interns, so ask each table whether they're hiring for full-time jobs too.
